Don’t Grow Immune to the Blessings of God

Inspirational Words
By · Comments (3)

In the natural, the more we’re exposed to something the more it depreciates. It has less value. We appreciate it less.

On the contrary, the less we get of something the more value it has. It’s human nature. We want what we can’t have and when we get it, we want more of it.

Here’s another way of putting it. We grow an immunity to the things that come easy. In the spiritual, that’s how we are with the blessings of God.

Day in and day out, we pray for more. We exercise faith. But once we get more blessings, favor and opportunities the more we become immune to them- so to speak. The blessings have less value. They depreciate over time.

Don’t grow immune to the blessings of God. Give thanks and make a big deal out of every little blessing God gives you.

When you wake up in the morning, be thankful for the little things. Tell God, “Thank you for a roof over my head.” Be thankful that you’re healthy, whole and in good peace.

The scripture says when you’re faithful over the few things, the Lord will make you ruler over many things. Part of being faithful is being grateful. Be grateful for the little things and the Lord will grant you better blessings.

Don’t let the blessings of God depreciate in value. No, continue to develop an appreciation for the great things God has bestowed upon you. When you do so, God will shower down more blessings and favor as you charge forth on your journey of life!

We’re all God’s wonderful piece of art. We all come from different backgrounds and different experiences. Many have amazing stories of triumph yet dreadful stories of failure. We’ve all faced joy filled days and sad nights. But these less than perfect experiences have molded and shaped us into the wonderful people that we are.

Some of the greatest and most loving people are the ones who have experienced hurt, pain and brokenness. They are the ones who have faced many setbacks and disappointments in life and have overcome them. They’re the ones with depth and substance. They are the people who shine the most light in the world.

Know today that the hurts of your past came to make you stronger and better. You sorrows can bring you more joy than you can imagine.

It’s easy to get sour on life. But don’t drown in the bitter waters. Don’t crumble. Don’t get a chip on your shoulder. No, you have to know that you’re better, stronger and wiser than you were before.

Avoid the Bandwagon, Jump on the God-wagon

Inspirational Words
By · Comments (1)

It’s human nature to do the thing that everybody is doing. The bandwagon effect is something that, too often, we fall prey to.

Just because everyone is doing it, doesn’t mean you have to. When everyone goes left, sometimes you have to go right. Sometimes you have to say “no” to the things the crowd says “yes” to. And other times you’ll have to say “yes” to the things they’re saying “no” to.

You are unique. You are set apart. You were designed by the almighty God with a purpose. You weren’t made to blend in the crowd. No, God distinguished you and called you to do something great.

Dare to be bold. Dare to be courageous. Think outside of the box. You can make a difference in a way that no one else can. You can change the world in Read More→

Be of Good Cheer Along the Way!

Inspirational Words
By · Comments (0)

The scripture says that if you’ll wait on the Lord and be of good cheer, He’ll strengthen your heart. God is moved when we go through a difficult time with a good attitude.

He’s impressed when you smile during a hardship or a setback. Instead of complaining, getting down in the dumps and growing sour on life, choose to go forth with an attitude of gratitude. Be of good cheer while you wait on God’s promises to come to pass.

Notice the scripture doesn’t say to wait on the Lord and have a bad attitude… It doesn’t say to wait on the Lord and voice your complaint. No, it says to wait on the Lord and be of good cheer, He’ll then strengthen your heart.

When the bitter waters of life come your way, change your declaration. Change your perspective. Choose to be of good courage.

That’s not to say you won’t get discouraged. It’s not to say that you won’t be tempted to throw a pity party. In fact, everyday is not promised to be sunshine. Sometimes you’ll get a little rain. You’ll get a little pain. But if you’ll do your best, God will Read More→

Don’t Put God in a Box

Inspirational Words
By · Comments (0)

The scripture tells us that with man it’s impossible but with God all things are possible. As long as you have the power of the almighty God working for you, no one or nothing can come against you.

But too often, we forget this principle. We forget the power that we have at hand with God on our side. We tend to reduce God to the world’s standard.

The circumstances might be slim to none but God is higher than your circumstances. He’s bigger than your problems. He’s an Ephesians 3:20 God. He’s able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all you can ask or think according to the power that works in you.

Don’t put God in a box. Don’t reduce Him to your circumstances. No, remove the limits and let Him perform an expected miracle. Let His signs and wonders Read More→

You Can’t Have Too Much Jesus

Inspirational Words
By · Comments (0)

In the world, we take everything in moderation. Too much food leads to weight issues. Too much sugar can lead to diabetes. Too much salt leads to high cholesterol. Too much work leads to burn out. Too much rest and relaxation can lead to laziness.

But there is One who you can’t have enough of and that’s Christ. You can have enough fun time. You can have enough sleep. You can even have enough vacation time. But you can never have enough of Jesus.

Your prayer should be, “Lord, I want more of you. I need more of you.” When the Jesus factor comes into play, one thing rings true, the more the better.

I’ve heard it said, “too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.” But when it comes to Christ, this is far from the truth. With Jesus, there can never be too much of a good thing.

When you walk into a room and greet a stranger like they’re your long lost best friend, that’s a healthy dose of Jesus. That’s being a light in a dark world. When you walk up to a random person and do a good deed with no ulterior motives, that’s a healthy dose of Christ. These are things you can’t have enough of.

There is no such thing as over-kill when it comes to doing good deeds. Someone needs a kind word. Someone today needs to see a light in a dark world. Someone needs to see the Jesus in you.

I’ve heard it said that for someone, you’re the only Jesus they’re going to see. In other words, somewhere out there is a person who is looking for the ultimate fix. They’re looking for a light. Maybe you can show them who Jesus is. Maybe you can show Read More→
