The Bible is full of “fear nots.” God made it clear in His word that He wants us to live an abundant life full of faith, courage, hope and reassurance.

God doesn’t want you to go through your Christmas season with fears, doubts, and negative emotions. No, He wants you to live in comfort and peace this joyous time of year.

In the natural, we all have our doubts and fears. These are unfortunate character traits that we all develop over the course of life. But because of the birth of Christ, the old has passed away. We’ve been made anew. Therefore, we no longer have to Read More→

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. – Isaiah 9:6

This Christmas season, we can rejoice in knowing that we serve a great God who fills many positions. He plays many roles. Whatever you need Him to be, that’s who He’ll be.

If you’re looking for a friend, He’s a friend to the friendless.  Our God is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. He called you friend before you even knew Him.

In the scripture, Isaiah refers to Christ as Wonderful Counselor. That means if you’re seeking wisdom, guidance or advice, you can run to Christ for counsel.

He’s also referred to as the Mighty God. He’s the most High God, the God above all gods. And the good news is, you have access to Him. You don’t have to Read More→

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. – Luke 2:10

Because of the birth of Christ, we can experience the fullness of God’s great joy. When Jesus was born, he brought joy and cheer to the world. And God wants us to experience this joy not only through the holiday season, but all year long.

In the scripture, the news of Christ was described as good tidings of great joy to the shepherds who were abiding in the fields. This good news doesn’t only apply to those shepherds, no, it applies to us to.

You are no longer bound to the guilt of your past. No matter how far you’ve strayed away, you can take joy in knowing that Christ was the ultimate sacrifice.

Because of this sacrifice, we can experience life everlasting. We can Read More→

How the Words “So What” can Change Your Life

Inspirational Words
By · Comments (4)

Sometimes living an optimistic lifestyle requires us to have a “so what” mentality. That doesn’t mean that you don’t care. It doesn’t mean that you’re being tossed to-and-fro in the wind. No, it simply means you say “so what” to the things that don’t matter.

If someone cuts you off in traffic– “so what,” don’t give power to things that don’t matter. Keep the bigger picture in mind. Maybe you lost the battle, “so what, that’s okay.” You may have lost the battle but rest assured you’ll win the war.

Maybe you didn’t finish your task. Maybe you didn’t cross the finish line– “so what,” tomorrow is a new day. It’s a new day with brand new mercies and compassions. God will give you the strength to cross the finish line in due time.

Remember, in the grand scheme of things, everything works together for Read More→

God wants us to experience peace on earth, not only during the holiday season but all year round. But for some, the holiday season can be one of the most stressful times of year.

Despite all the turmoil and stress that comes with the holiday season, know that peace is available to you. When you find yourself in the hustle and bustle trying to meet deadlines, take a moment to reflect on Christ. It’s all because of Christ that we have peace on earth.

Don’t focus on the things in which you have no control. Don’t let the Read More→

Walk the Talk

Inspirational Words
By · Comments (0)

We serve a God who fulfills all of His promises. Everything He says, He brings to pass. And the scripture says that we’ve been made in His likeness. As ambassadors for Christ, we should strive to be people of integrity. We should be people of respect and dignity.

In your everyday life, make it a point to walk the talk.  Be a person of your word. When you make a promise you should stand behind it. God not only wants us to be in right standings with Him,  but He wants us to be in right standings with the people around us.

Aim to be a person of integrity and stand behind your word. Don’t just talk the talk, no, you have to walk the walk. If you honor your word, people will honor you. And more importantly, God will honor you.

When you’re honored by God, He causes His divine favor to reign over you. He then causes you to triumph in every area of your life.

I heard a great saying. “Preach always and use words only when necessary.” How do you do this? It’s simply done by letting your actions do the talking. You Read More→

The Gift that Keeps on Giving

Inspirational Words
By · Comments (0)

If you’re like me, the smallest gestures are enough to brighten your day. If someone takes time to simply open a door for me, that’s enough to put a smile on my face.

But too often, we forget that it’s the little things that matter. Day in and day out, we get so busy with the hustle and bustle of the day that we over look the opportunities to extend a helping hand.

Showing random acts of kindness is one of the greatest ways to sow a seed to someone in need. Someone may have an emotional need. They may have a need for time and attention. Whatever the need is, make it a point to show at least one random act of kindness a day. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

When you show little gestures of love, time and attention, you leave others wanting to do the same to another person in need. And then another wanting to show a kind gesture to another person. It’s a ripple affect. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

The most amazing thing happens in rush hour traffic. When traffic is bumper to bumper, sometimes, the person ahead of you lets a car merge in from the merging lane. When this happens, you then feel compelled to do the same. When you let someone in front of you, then the person behind you feels obligated to do so… and so on and so on.

Why? It’s the gift that keeps on giving. It’s because one person showed a random act of kindness and it created a ripple effect.

Conversely, if no one let anyone in ahead of them, the merging lane Read More→

And it Came to Pass!

Inspirational Words
By · Comments (2)

Life is forever evolving. If you’re not going through a storm, you’ve either just come out of one or you’re getting ready to go through another storm.

As long as you’re alive, there will be tribulations. But the good news is that your trials won’t last always.

In the scriptures, particularly the King James Version, we see the phrase “and it came to pass” numerous of times. We can take joy in this phrase because we know that storms may come but they’re coming to pass. It doesn’t say it came to stay. No, it says “and it came to pass.”

When a storm cloud comes your way, it doesn’t come to hover over you. It doesn’t come to follow you around. No my friend, storms come to pass. When the headaches of the day come to burden you, think about what the Word of God says, “and it came to pass.”

When you’re threatened with sickness, don’t get down in pits. Your declaration should be, “and it came to pass.” When your enemies come at you with full force, just smile and dodge. Let them pass you over.

When things don’t go your way or you have an unexpected obstacle, Read More→

In the natural, the holidays are when most people take breaks. Businesses are closing and people are going on vacation.

But the good thing is we serve a God who never goes on break. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, He’s manning His post. He’s ever watchful over you and me. The scripture says that He never sleeps or slumbers. He’s always on the look out.

Not only that but He’s a right now God. He has the ability to tend to every person’s needs right away. You see, when you call 911, they have to send emergency personnel out where you are. Even though they have the ability to get there quick, it’s those times of extreme distress that are most critical.

I think about some movies and how the police always seem to be the last to arrive on the scene. In these movies, the law enforcements always seem to arrive when the solution has been found. They show up when the bad guys have already been killed, captured, or discovered.

But that’s not like our God, He’s a right now God. He’s not an hour later God, He’s not a God of tomorrow, no, He’s a right now God!

A great song writer once said, “He may not come when you want Him, but Read More→
