Speak Life Over Yourself!
Posted by: | Comments
God’s Word says that life and death lies in the power of the tongue. One of the greatest things you can do is boldly and declaratively speak positive filled words of life over yourself.
Too often, we’re relying on outside influences as a source of validation. But your tongue is your greatest gift or your worst enemy. It’s through the tongue that you can speak victory over yourself. It’s through the tongue that you can speak opportunity, increase and abundant blessings over yourself.
Studies show you believe more of what you say, than what others say about you. One of the most powerful conversations you can have are the spoken monologues with yourself to yourself, about yourself.
Dare to boldly declare that you are valuable. You are worthy. You are blessed going in and coming out.
It’s not enough to simply think the thoughts, no, you have to speak it. In the morning when you wake up, instead of speaking defeat over your day, speak life, victory, joy and rest. God will reward you for your faithfulness.
In this week’s inspirational video, I encourage you more on the benefits of speaking over yourself. I hope you’ll check it out and I pray that it encourages you!

Positive Thinking Exercises

I talk a lot about the importance of thinking positive and putting right and good thoughts in your mind. But sometimes, it’s easier said than done. It’s not like you can just flip a switch, right?
The truth is, negative thinking is like a hungry stomach that we feed. The more we feed it, the more strength we give to it. On the contrary, the more we exercise positive thinking, the more we strengthen that ability too.
It won’t happen over night. It’s not a quick fix. But over time, you’ll be able to develop the positive mind that God wants you to have.
Here are some positive thinking exercises you can put into play. Carry a note pad around with you everywhere you go. When you get a negative thought, write it down. And next to it write a positive thought to combat it.
For instance if your negative thought is- “I always make mistakes,” you can combat it by writing “mistakes are not always bad. Mistakes help me to grow and I Read More→

There is power in the tongue! When you speak good and positive words of life over your situation, you’ll come into a positive and right result.
God’s Word promises that life and death lies in the power of the tongue. Your tongue is one of the most powerful weapons you have against the enemy.
Too often, when we get a bad break, a set back or a difficulty, the wrong words come into play. Many say, “I never get any good breaks.” Some say, “I can’t do this, I don’t have the gifts or the talents.” Others may say things like, “I’ve tried that before and failed, it doesn’t work.”
Well, when you speak these words of defeat over your circumstance, you limit the power of God over your life. You have to speak life into your situation.
Here’s the key, it’s not enough to just think positive words. You have to speak them out loud.
In your car on the way home, speak hope-filled words over your life. In your preparations for the day, speak God’s word of hope and life. Let your declaration be, Read More→

Studies show that you believe more of what you say about you, than what anyone else says about you. The scripture says that death and life lies in the power of the tongue.
Motivational speeches are good. It’s good to even hang around others who are uplifting, positive and speak good into your life. Yes, I encourage that. But you take things to another level when you speak life over yourself.
When you speak words of encouragement over yourself, in essence, you’re indicating that you truly believe it. Supernatural breaks happen when you speak blessings, opportunity and favor over your life. Eventually they become manifested.
What you truly believe, comes from the heart. The scripture says that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
Many times, we get opportunities to take our faith to the next level. Maybe you’ve had a fear of doing something. Maybe you thought you didn’t have the skills, Read More→
ShareThe Naysayer Within

I heard an interesting statistic. We believe more of what we say about ourselves than what anyone else says about us. Unfortunately, the problem comes into play when we become our own voice of defeat. We become our own worst critic and naysayer.
If we could play back the words and thoughts that we think, we would realize why we never accomplished that dream. We would soon find out why we never met that goal and came into that victory. It’s because the whole time we’ve been allowing the negative voice of defeat to set in.
Make a choice today to speak victory into your life. Speak hope, blessings and courage into your destiny.
The scripture says that God has given us a choice. He has set before us blessings and curses. He’s given us a choice at life and death. He then urges us to Read More→
ShareThink About What You’re Thinking About

Too often, we think about things that aren’t uplifting and encouraging. We focus on the things that we can’t do rather than dwelling on the things we can do.
Many will look at what others are doing, their accomplishments, and what they have going for them. In the interim, they’ll discount what they have going for themselves.
But it’s not God’s will for us to go around with a negative, defeated and less-than mindset. No, God’s Word says we’re overcomers! We’re more than a conqueror. We can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. God wants us to think on things that are virtuous, noble, and true. Things that are of a good report and worthy of praise.
If someone played a recording back of the things that you thought about, you would probably be embarrassed and feel ashamed. You would probably be tempted to think, surely I don’t think those thoughts. But if you only knew the negative Read More→
ShareChoose Your Thoughts

God has given us the wonderful gift of choice. And one of those choices is the ability to choose our thoughts. Day in and day out, we’re bombarded with thousands of thoughts. Some are good and some are bad.
I’ve heard it said that the average person has somewhere around 7,500 bad thoughts a day. This may be an alarming statistic to swallow but the truth is, you can change those negative, defeating thoughts.
Here’s the key, you don’t have to entertain every thought that enters your mind. Whatever you meditate on will take root, multiply, and grow.
If you’re unsuccessful at something, don’t meditate on what went wrong, dwell on what went right. if a friend betrayed you, don’t think that you’re “less than” or “not good enough.” No, your thought should be, “It’s their loss.” “That person lost a good thing.”
Maybe you had a bad day, and you’re tempted to get in despair. Your declaration should be, “as long as I’m among the living, I have hope.”
You see, the enemy wants to get you down in the dumps. The scripture says that the thief came to steal, kill, and destroy. How does he do that? Partly by Read More→
ShareHow the Words “So What” can Change Your Life
Posted by: | Comments
Sometimes living an optimistic lifestyle requires us to have a “so what” mentality. That doesn’t mean that you don’t care. It doesn’t mean that you’re being tossed to-and-fro in the wind. No, it simply means you say “so what” to the things that don’t matter.
If someone cuts you off in traffic– “so what,” don’t give power to things that don’t matter. Keep the bigger picture in mind. Maybe you lost the battle, “so what, that’s okay.” You may have lost the battle but rest assured you’ll win the war.
Maybe you didn’t finish your task. Maybe you didn’t cross the finish line– “so what,” tomorrow is a new day. It’s a new day with brand new mercies and compassions. God will give you the strength to cross the finish line in due time.

SharePut God First
Posted by: | CommentsThe way that you start your morning off will determine the course of your day. If you wake up with a good attitude and expect that something good is going to happen to you then you’re setting yourself up for God’s favor to pour down on you.
The moment you wake up, Satan goes to work on your mind. He immediately starts feeding you negative and defeating thoughts. He’ll remind you of what’s going wrong in your life. He’ll inject your mind with thoughts of worry, defeat, fear, failure, depression and doubt.
That’s why it’s important to wake up on a good note. Decide to take control of your thoughts early in the morning. Don’t focus on the negative, instead, start the day off with a good prayer. Take out sometime in the morning and read an encouraging passage of scripture.

When you do this, you’re fighting the enemy with what the Word of God says about you. The last thing the adversary wants you to do is pray to God first thing in the morning.
In the natural, one of the first things we do in the morning is get coffee. We’ll do whatever is necessary to get our physical body prepped for the day. But too often we neglect the spiritual. This reminds me of a question I heard a very wise person ask. They asked, Read More→
ShareMake Positive Declarations
Posted by: | CommentsOne of the greatest faith filled actions you can do is speak things into existence. The words we speak have so much power over our lives.
It’s amazing that something so small as the tongue has so much impact over our lives. Too often, we go around making negative declarations over our lives even when we don’t intend to.
Many times we’re guilty of saying such things as, “I’ll never accomplish that goal, it’s too far out of my league” or “I don’t have the talents or credentials.” You may even say things like, “I don’t deserve anything good.”
But my friend, I’ll have you to know that death and life lies in the power of the tongue. God has given you the power to speak death or life into you your situation. He even bids us to choose life. The Lord says, in Deuteronomy 30:19, “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life!”

Your declaration should be that you are above and not beneath, you are the head and not the tail. You are a lender not a borrower. Make the positive declaration that you’re blessed going in and blessed coming out. You’re blessed in the city and in the field such as the scriptures remind us.
Instead of making negative declarations and thinking that you don’t have the talents or the skills, make a positive statement. Declare that you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you such as Philippians 4:13 says.
