Get Your Hopes Up!
Posted by: | CommentsAll our life were told not to get our hopes up for those things which we want out of life. Maybe at some point you wanted something that meant a lot to you, and someone came along and killed your hopes and dreams.
They may have told you not to get your hopes up, what if you don’t get it. It’s this very statement that kills the hopes and dreams and too many people across the board. Instead of settling for less than enough and making preparations for rejection in life, do get your hopes up! Make positive declarations for those things concerning you. Don’t let the “what ifs” become an option for you.

Instead, dare to dream! When others say no, remember that God has the last say so. Don’t let anyone kill your dream. Keep pursuing for your vision. Always remember that God is in the blessing business and know that He’s waiting to perform a miracle on your behalf.
When it looks like all hope is lost and the day is getting dim, don’t let your hopes die down. Instead, get your hopes up – speak against anyone or any thought that might come to discourage you.
You see, Hope is defined as the feeling that what is wanted can be Read More→
Love Covers A Multitude
Posted by: | CommentsAbove all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. – 1 Peter 4:8
One of the hardest things to do is to continue to show love to someone who has wronged you. But remember to extend that same agape love that Jesus has shown for you toward someone else.
Continue to look for ways to extend warmth, love and kindness to others as you go along your journey of life. Think upon that grace and those tender mercies that God has shown toward you. When you stop to think about it, regardless of past mistakes, failures, and pure disobedience toward God, He loves us enough to show grace and mercy.

If you find that it’s rather difficult to show love toward a wrongdoer or naysayer , take some time to think about the love that God has shown you. Remember, those times when you’ve expected to be cursed with a curse. Or maybe you’ve even thought that God would revoke His favor from you. Regardless of that fact you’re still here, you’re standing and rising to a new dimension in life!
Whether you’re looking to forgive or be forgiven, remember that the type of seed that you put out is what will spring forth. In other words, if you put out a seed Read More→
ShareKeep First Things First!
Posted by: | CommentsOften times, we put material things and people at the forefront of our minds. We may focus on that new friend that we discovered we have many things in common with. We may put that new job, house or car first in mind. We may even live in reach of that vacation time that’s six months ahead of time.
Although it’s good to keep our natural priorities in order, let’s not neglect the most important priority of all, God!

He keeps you as His priority. You were His priority when He was given the option to come down from the cross. You were his priority when no one else would give you a chance. You were His priority when it seemed like all else failed. Why not give Christ a few minutes of your day to meditate, worship and show your gratitude for everything.
When you put God first, all other things will fall in line. When He’s a priority in your life you will find that the Read More→
ShareEmbrace Every Season!
Posted by: | CommentsFor everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. – Ecclesiastes 3:1
As we go into a change of seasons, we can look all around us and see the signs – The changing of the leaves, days starting to get shorter and cooler weather. But it’s also a time of harvest.
In the natural, planters and farmers who have planted their crops are in a due season of harvest. It’s a time when they earn a return on the seeds that they’ve planted.
You see, every season has it’s pros and cons. Spring is a time where we spring forward. It’s a season known for it’s beautiful weather. However, those who have allergies don’t do so well with the abundance of pollen.

Summer, is a great time of fun. Families often plan vacations and spend time outdoors. But summer is also a time of extreme heat and drought for many.
Winter is a great season for fashion and dressing warm. It’s a great time to perhaps start a campfire or snuggle up indoors. The opposition would be that it’s a time of dark days and depression due to the distant sun.
All in all, every season that we face is indicative of the seasons we face in our on lives. Just like the scripture says, “for everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.” It goes on to say “…a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot…”
You see, that dark season that you face serves it’s purpose too. The hard Read More→
ShareWhat’s Influencing You?
Posted by: | CommentsHave you ever wanted to take control of your destiny? Perhaps you want to turn your life in a different direction but you don’t know how or where to start.
Well a great place to start is by evaluating who you surround yourself with. Start by examining the things that you allow to enter into your spirit.
You see, a good rule of thumb is to remember that like minds attract. So I encourage you to surround yourself with positive and like-minded individuals. Look for people who are going to encourage you and not bring you down.
If your goal is to get a doctorate degree and you surround yourself with high-school dropouts, who aren’t thriving for success, then chances are they may implant a negative seed of discouragement in you. However, if you’re a high-school drop out and you surround yourself with a bunch of people who are in pursuit of a doctorate, chances are they will encourage you upwards to set higher standards for your future.

ShareHe’s Doing A New Thing!
Posted by: | CommentsIf you’re focusing on those things that you’ve lost or marveling over what used to be, I encourage you to turn that page in your life.
One of the hardest things to do is to let go of the past and move on toward the future. I believe one of our greatest set backs is becoming stagnant and not being open to the new things in life.
Could you imagine if everything around us was always the same? Some people would go insane with the same way of life. It would be difficult to live in today’s way of life with 1950′s technology – or with the mentality of the stone ages.

But one interesting thing about technology is that it’s always evolving. In the natural, doctors and scientists are always looking for ways to mold our way of living to a better standard. Some people have become so used to having their cell phones that they can’t leave the house without it.
Well my friend that’s the way God is – He’s always doing a new thing in your life. He’s always providing a way to make the crooked places strait and the rough places plain. You see, our natural inkling is to grow an attachment to material things and people and as a result, we become commonplace.
But you have to know that God wants to take you beyond where you are. He’s always providing opportunities for you to grow and become the Read More→
ShareLet Your Weakness Become Your Strength
Posted by: | CommentsToo often, we allow our weaknesses to get the best of us. We tend to focus on that which we can’t do or we listen to what others say we can’t do based on our handicaps.
I’m reminded of a story I heard about a young boy who had no left arm. And he was tempted to get discouraged and allow this handicap to get the best of him. However, instead of wallowing in his sorrow, he used his weakness to his benefit.
So the boy began lessons with an old Japanese Judu instructor. And after about three months in, he began to notice that the master only taught him one move.
“Sensei” the boy inquired, “Why am I only learning one move?” “This is the only move that you need to know” the master replied.
Several months later, the sensei took the boy to his first tournament. Surprisingly the young boy was doing very well. Regardless of his handicap, he remained mastered his first two rounds and defeated his opponents. It was amazing how with just this one throw, the boy was able to over-power them.

The next opponent came, he struggled a bit but that didn’t phase him. He remained strong and yet with this one move he pulled through victorious. In his last match, his opponent was quite bigger, quicker and stronger. It appeared as though the young boy was going to lose. The referee even called time-out in fear that the he was going to get hurt but the sensei insisted, “no, let him continue.”
Toward the end of the match the boy’s opponent let his guard down. With limited strength and confidence, the boy was able to use the one move to pin his opponent down and won the tournament.”
After the tournament the boy asked, “Sensei, how did I win with Read More→
ShareYou Can Always Start Anew
Posted by: | CommentsI heard an empowering story about the extraordinary inventor Thomas Edison. He owned a factory that was made of concrete and steel. This factory was deemed fireproof.
One night in 1914 the unbelievable happened. His factory burst up in flames. His son, Charles, found him watching as his factory slowly dissolved. He was devastated for his father. Here he was a man at the age 67 and everything he worked for has been totally destroyed.

The next morning, Edison looked at the ruins of his factory and said this: “There’s value in disaster. All our mistakes are burned up. Thank God, we can start anew.”
We can all learn from Edison’s strength and courage to bounce back. No matter what happens in life, no matter what the enemy tries to destroy, know that God has given you the strength to start anew.
That lifelong spiritual kingdom that you’ve been building may be torn down in an instant but the lessons that you’ve learned along the way will Read More→
ShareWhat Type of Seeds Are You Sowing?
Posted by: | CommentsWhen you see a stranger on the street do you smile and give a kind hello to them or give them the cold shoulder? Are you quick to offer a helping hand for a neighbor or are you quick to mind your own business and go along your own way?
Well I believe that every little seed that you sow, is something that you’ll reap in one way or another. There is no gesture too small enough to make a difference.
You may say, “sure I’ll smile at a stranger, but will they smile back?” But just think of each gesture as a selfless way to change someone’s day.
You see, that stranger that you may have sowed into or helped may have not showed the courtesy back to you, but on the inside it could have spoken volumes. To Read More→
ShareRemember To Live and Love
Posted by: | CommentsTime has the ability to pass by when you’re busy. Do you often catch yourself missing out on important things like the kid’s baseball game? Do you dismiss precious family time with the intention of catching the “next go ’round”?
In the hustle in bustle of life, we must remember to take out time for those things that are easily taken for granted. We see it in the movies all the time, the father misses his daughter’s recital or his son’s football game due to those few extra hour’s at the office.

Well this doesn’t just happen in the movies, we all fall victim to what I call the “catch it next time around” mentality. The “catch it next time” mentality is the result to the excuses we make when we continue to put those precious moments off for the next time. But are we so sure there will be a next time?
The scripture says that “No man knows the day nor the hour when the son of man shall appear.” But we should all be ready when he comes.
You never know when your last chance will be to spend with a Read More→
