“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forevermore.” – Hebrews 13:8
Have you ever experienced a here today, gone tomorrow type of relationship? Maybe you’ve encountered some failed promises and misunderstandings along the way. Well, the good thing about our God is He’s forever the same. His love towards us never changes.
People may come and go. They may disappoint you, hurt you, upset you, or turn their backs on you. But the good news is, Jesus is unchangeable. His love is unending. Unlike man, He doesn’t compromise His character based on circumstances. He’s not fickle. No He is a steadfast God.
His Word says that His love never fails. God’s love is not based on circumstances. It’s not based on your past or what you can do for him. No, His love is unconditional and it’s forever the same.
The scripture says Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. The God we serve was the same when He created the universe. He was the Read More→

Look for the Showers of Blessings!

I will make them and the places surrounding my hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing. – Ezekiel 34:26
Whether you know it or not, God is blessing you every minute of the day. Every breath that you take is a blessing from the almighty God.
From the moment you wake up to the time you lay down to rest, God’s mercies are endless. Everyday that you come and go, God is showering down blessings in your favor.
When you wake up in the morning, instead of looking at what seems to be a curse, look for the showers of blessings from the most High God. Live in expectation that something good is going to happen to you today. Take out some time and meditate on the mighty works that God has already performed on your behalf.
Look at the victories you’ve won. Look at the successes. Thank God for all your accomplishments. Focus your attention on the doors of opportunity that have been granted to you. Maybe there was a time when you didn’t see a way, but Read More→
God Comforts the Discomforted

Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. – Isaiah 40:1
We serve a mighty God who comforts us in times of distress. When we venture out into unknown territories, those areas where we’re discontented, God reaches down and brings the comfort we need. He is the God of all comfort.
Often times, we hesitate going out of our comfort zone. But know that wherever you are, no matter how far out of your comfort zone you find yourself, God will bring a sense of ease and contentment.
You see, God wants you to feel whole and comforted, not only in the easy times, but in the times of pressure. He doesn’t want you to go around stressed, troubled, living a life of uneasiness. No, He wants you to look to Him and find peace in times of sorrows.
When you’re faced with difficulties and hard challenges, take a moment and Read More→
You’re Free from all Trouble!
Posted by: | CommentsIt’s not God’s will for us to live a life of bondage. Too often, we go around allowing the troubles of life to get the best of us.
The sad thing is that it’s the little things that often oppress us. If a wrongdoer makes a negative comment to us, we allow that to fester in our minds. If someone does us wrong, instead of forgiving them, we allow that wrong to create a stronghold in our minds.
When we do this, we become captive to these wrongful acts. But remember, it’s outside of God’s will that we become enslaved to the negative attacks of the enemy.

You see, Satan came to kill, steal, and destroy. But Jesus came to destroy the works of enemy. In John 10:10, Jesus says “I’ve come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly.”
This life, that Jesus speaks of, is a life full of freedom and peace. He doesn’t want you to be enslaved to your past mistakes. He doesn’t want you to be held captive to the everyday stress, frustrations, and accusations of the enemy. He wants you to live a life full of peace, wholeness, joy, and freedom.
John 8:36 says, “whom the son (Jesus) has set free, is truly free indeed.” Remember, Jesus was taken captive and chastised so that you and I can be free. You’re free from the turmoil. You’re Read More→
Harvest Where You Didn’t Plant
Posted by: | CommentsOne great thing about our God is that not only will He cause you to reap the fruits of your own labor, but He’ll cause you to harvest where you didn’t plant. You see, many have gone before us and paved the way so that you and I can live the life of abundance that we live today.
Jesus is a great example. He paved the way when He died on the cross for our sins. We didn’t have to pay that price, yet we have the right to the tree of life!
Others have labored before hand, so that we can have the right to the lifestyle and freedom that we have. Many veterans have paid a price and fought for our country so that we can live in freedom.
Some have even sacrificed sweat, turmoil, and strife so that you and I can live the life of comfort, convenience, and ease that we live today.

Jesus says in John 4:38, “I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.”
My friends, the good news is that God is working behind the scenes. He’s planting seeds of greatness for your future. He’s going ahead of you making the rough places plain and making the crooked places straight.
You may not see it, but God is doing a good work in you. Because of His great favor, God will cause you to harvest seeds that you didn’t plant. He will cause you to reap the seeds that others toiled and suffered for your sake.
Make no mistake. This doesn’t give us an excuse to stop sowing seeds. This doesn’t give us a reason to get lackadaisical and stagnant. No, keep planting good Read More→
Every Day is an Opportunity
Posted by: | CommentsOne of the greatest things about our God, is that His mercy and compassions are new every morning. We should rejoice in the fact that every day we’re given is an opportunity to fulfill God’s assignment for our life.
Whatever you’ve put on the back-burner, don’t delay it any further. Let today be an opportunity to walk in your destiny. That dream that you’ve been wanting to pursue, today is another chance for you to go after it. That passion that you’ve been wanting to take up, go for it. That talent that you’ve been wanting to perfect, take a class and further it.

Maybe there’s a lifestyle that you’re not living. Maybe you’ve been hurt. Maybe you’ve become bitter. You might be holding onto un-forgiveness and strife. Today is a chance for you to let go of past hurts. This very day could be the chance for you to forgive a wrongdoer and walk in the love that God commands us to.
When you wake up in the morning, your prayer should be that God shows you an opportunity to love someone. Your prayer should be that His ultimate will be done in your life.
Remember, tomorrow is not granted. I truly believe that God wants us to live everyday as if it were our last. Don’t waste the precious gift of life that God has given you. Make a decision to delay no further. Let today be Read More→
God is Working (You Can Go on Autopilot)
Posted by: | CommentsThere is something that is so peaceful about praying. Part of what give us a sense of peace and tranquility is simply knowing that, God is working.
You see, when you go to the Lord, you’re casting all your cares on Him. It’s like taking out the trash. If the trash builds up in the home, nothing good can come from it. It can cause odor, bacteria build up, fungus, and it can even draw some unwanted creatures into the home.
But when you go to the Lord in prayer, it’s almost like taking your trash out. For many of us, our prayers are, “Lord, fix this. Change that. Remove this. Clean that.”

And you may say, “this doesn’t sound right. It’s not right to dump all my mess on the Lord.” But because of Grace, we have the privilege of casting our burdens on the Lord. In fact, that’s what Jesus urges us to do. He doesn’t want us to carry the load. No, He wants to relieve us of the burden.
We know this because Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, “come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest.” And 1 Peter 5:7 says to “cast your cares on the Lord for he cares for you.”
That means all your mess: your stress, burdens, insecurities, doubts, worries and fears- you can take them to the Lord and in exchange He will give you Read More→
God Uses the Ordinary People
Posted by: | CommentsDo you ever feel a lack of purpose in life? Do you ever wonder if you have the gifts, talents and abilities to do great works in life? Well, if this is you be encouraged, because you have more than it takes to do anything you’ve ever imagined.
Too many people go around with doubts, mixed emotions, and insecurities when it comes to doing greater works. But you should know that God can do extraordinary things using ordinary people in seemingly small ways. He can take the person with the lack of experience, the least talents, and the smallest potential to bring forth a greater outcome.
Remember, we serve a Philippians 4:13 God. That means we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

You see, in the natural, it might be true. You may not have the skills to do extraordinary things. But with God on your side, you can do the impossible.
My friends, God has sown seeds of greatness on the inside of you. You have natural born abilities. It’s up to you to tap into those seeds of greatness. There is no such thing as a person that God can’t use.
We’ve heard too many stories of the little people who have gone on to do great things. In the Bible, Joseph, was in prison for a crime that he didn’t commit. I’m sure he felt inadequate. He probably even felt less than ordinary.
But the thing about Joseph was, he had a natural born ability to Read More→
The Last Straw Won’t Get You
Posted by: | CommentsWe’ve all got a threshold of what we’re willing to take in life. We’ve got that line drawn in the sand of how far we’re able to go before we break.
The world has even coined a familiar saying: “The straw that broke the camel’s back.” In other words, you’re on your last leg. The burden is piling up on your back. And we’ll say things like “If one more person does this…” or “if this happens one more time…” and we usually follow it up with a consequence or a plan of action.
Well my friend, I’m here to tell you that you’ve got more stamina than you think. I always heard it said, that you can bend but don’t break. No matter what’s coming at you, that deadline, that last minute inconvenience or that obstacle that keeps you from performing your best, God has a second wind in store for you.

Instead of getting all down in the dumps and focusing on the burden, or how much more you can take, focus on 2 Corinthians 12:9. Here Jesus says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in your weakness.”
It’s like that button they give you in the hospital to page the nurse. When you’re on that last stretch, and the enemy is firing doubt, fatigue, unbelief and all sorts of negative thoughts into your mind, all you have to do is hit that button and God comes to your aid. He takes up the slack.
He’s not going to allow you to crumble. He won’t allow the straw to Read More→
