Blessed to Be a Blessing

One of the greatest pick-me-ups is when you help pick somebody else up out of despair. When we choose to be a blessing to others, we’re not only blessing them we’re blessing God and ourselves.

When you shower others with favor and honor, in return, God sends a blessing of favor and honor back into your own life. It’s a simple principle that we too often forget.

Look for ways to be a blessing to someone else today. It could be as simple as sending someone a compliment. Let them know how much you’re grateful to have them in your life.

Your way of blessing others could be as simple as preferring someone ahead of yourself. Let someone go ahead of you in the grocery store checkout line. Honor someone by doing a good deed to make their day easier.

When you make it your business to see that others are blessed, God makes it His business to see that you’re blessed and highly favored. Indeed, it is a blessing to be a blessing.

Here’s the thing; It’s easier to get caught up in our own world, our own affairs. It’s easy to look at what’s going wrong in our own life. But when you make it a point to build someone else up; when you make it your business to see that someone’s day gets better, you will start to see things turn around.

On the inside you’ll witness something stir up. Because you’ve blessed someone else, what may have started out as an ordinary day on your part turns into an extraordinary day.

I’m asking you to look around you. See how you can bless someone. Listen to someone’s heart. Fulfill a need. When you bless others, you’ll experience an abundance of overflowing blessings released back into your own life as you charge forth on your journey!
