Do you live an ordinary, average, just-get-by life? A life with no fun, no joy, no enthusiasm? Well here are 5 ways to spice things up and get a kick out of your day!
Number 1. Smile! You have the choice to either wallow in despair or to walk in the joy that God has given you. Studies even show that when you smile, you communicate to yourself that everything is going to be okay. So smile on purpose!
Number 2. Sing and Dance! (…you can even whistle a tune or two. ) You don’t have to have the best voice in the world to sing. You don’t have to dance like Michael Jackson. Sing a song of praise anyway. Bust a move. Do it all in good fun. Above all, do it for the Lord. Put on a song of praise. You’ll be amazed how much better you feel.
Number 3. Instead of simply saying, “thank you, goodbye” to the customer service agent at Pizza hut, add some “spunk” to it. Say “thank you, It was a pleasure doing business with ya,” in a jovial tone. This will hopefully make them laugh and in turn give you a chuckle or two.
Number 4. Laugh! There is humor all around you. Find the humor in the stressful moments of your day. The scripture even says, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” When the moment presents itself, laugh and enjoy your life.
Number 5. When you pass your friends in the hallway, don’t just simply walking by. If the time is fitting do a back flip or a somersault. A handstand or a moonwalk. Randomly ask for three apples and juggle them. Take great joy in the surprised expression of joy and laughter on their faces. You probably made their day!
Don’t live an average, mediocre life. No, live a thriving life! Live an extraordinary life. Look for ways to spice things up. Be spontaneous. Think outside of the box. But above all be the joy-filled person God would have you to be. Carry God’s light with you in your heart at all times as you charge forth on your journey of life!
