Did You Learn that Lesson?

Life is full of experiences both good and bad. And it’s easy to get caught up in the experience and ignore the take home value from it.

Everyday there are lessons all around us. The failures, mistakes and disappointments in life most often contain a moral of some sort. There’s an underlying current that is speaking through life, it’s up to us to pay attention and learn from them.

Maybe you didn’t get that good break. Maybe that friend betrayed you. Or maybe that relationship didn’t work out. It’s easy to get bitter and soured of life. But sometimes, these things happen to teach us how to better manage the next friendship, or how to land the next big break.

And sometimes, God allows things to happen for different reasons. No one knows why the Lord does what He does. But sometimes the Lord will allow things to happen to teach us important life lessons and truths so that we’re better able to handle the next big opportunity or divine connection.

Let me encourage you today to open your eyes to the take home value in every circumstance. Pray that the Lord will show you the moral of life’s stories. Dare to be open to the lessons that come out of life’s experiences.

God uses these lessons to make you wiser and better. They serve as keys that will catapult you to the next level in life.

Now, in order to come into the next dimension that God has for you, you’ll not only need to be able to learn the lesson- but you’ll need to apply it.

Many of life’s basic skills came from a lesson you learned in school. Some are more perfected than others. For instance, maybe Math wasn’t your strong point, but you were a master in English. These English skills may benefit you as a writer or a speaker when you apply the lessons you learned.

In the same way, life is still teaching you lessons today. When a child becomes defiant, there’s a hidden lesson in the mix. This could be the child’s way of screaming for attention. Maybe you’ve lost a job only to discover that it could’ve been prevented if you applied a key life principle.

God has given you the tools, truths and lessons to life’s experiences. It’s up to you to learn from them and apply them. Look beneath the surface of every life circumstance. You might discover some hidden truths that will shed some light and cause you to rise to the next dimension as you charge forth on your journey!
