Do you find yourself looking for the approval of others? Many in the world today find themselves bending over backwards looking for validation. And in the interim, we forget that God’s ultimate approval matters most.

The truth is that God is your biggest supporter. He’s the first to build you up. Think about it. His mercies and compassions are brand new every morning. Even when we don’t deserve it, He forgives sins and wrong-doings.

I think about many of the world’s greatest stars and talents today. Many of them have a very large fan base, and some of them have what’s called fanatics. These fanatics are people who go above and beyond the call of duty just to say they are the biggest fans. They’ll learn every detail about the star’s life. They’ll buy all the paraphernalia- the posters, t-shirts, coffee mugs, and etc. They’ll even make a point to own every piece of music and collect all their movies. These fanatics are the ones camping out all night and waiting in long lines hours and hours on end, just to be the first to attend a concert or own the first release of a new product.

But not many people can say that they have friends who support every detail of their lives. But the good news is that the God of the universe is all for you, my friend. He’s on the sidelines of life cheering you on. Even when the going get’s tough, He’s rooting for you- telling you, “you can make it.” He’s telling you “don’t worry about what the haters are saying, you’re more than a conqueror.” Just like these fanatics, He’s watching over you all night long, just to be the first to greet you when you wake up in the morning. Do you acknowledge Him? He is your biggest fan you know…

And the the truth of the matter is that His validation matters the most. Not your peers, not the “in-crowd”, not even your closest friends. The only approval you need, is the approval of the most High God.

You may have a friend who is here today and gone tomorrow. You may have even lost the support of some loved ones over the years. But Proverbs 18:24b reminds us that there is a friend who sticks even closer than a brother. Guess what… God is that friend. And He’s going way above and beyond the call of duty to prove to you that He loves you.

Take joy in knowing that God is your biggest fan. And He will support you in more ways than you can even imagine, as you charge forth on your journey of life!
