Sometimes, we have a tendency to limit God in our prayer walk. As a result, we fall into a rut in our prayer life and pray “safe” prayers.

In the interim, we forget what Ephesians 3:20 says, “now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Remember, we serve a God who can do anything we can ask. The keyword here is “anything”.

The latter part James 4:2 says “you have not because you ask not.” Unfortunately, many fall into the thinking that if it’s meant to be it will be. And even though God knows the desires of your heart, He wants you to ask. Jesus says in John 14:14, “if you ask anything in my name, I will do it.”

If you have big wants and big desires, ask in Jesus’ name. Don’t place limitations on Him. No, pray bigger and bolder prayers.

Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb. Pray a bigger prayer and put your faith to the test. That house you’ve been wanting, ask in His name. That business you’ve been wanting to start, ask in His name. That addiction you’ve been wanting to overcome, ask in His name. That fear that you’ve been wanting to conquer, ask in His name and watch Him perform a miracle.

My friend, we serve a big God who can perform big miracles. There is nothing too big that God can’t do. He doesn’t put limitations on you so don’t place limitations on God.

I think about many parents who give their children an allowance. In that allowance, the child is allowed a certain amount to either spend or save. But the good thing is that God places no limitations on you. He wants you to have faith enough and trust Him with anything that you can think or imagine.

Don’t let fear stand in your way. Ask in Jesus’ name and He will perform a powerful work for you. Be bold- be courageous. Prayer a bigger prayer and watch bigger miracles come to pass as you charge forth on your journey of life!
