Too often, we find ourselves looking for the approval of others. And the truth is that sometimes, we just want to know that we’re on the right track. Some people just want to know that their efforts counts.

All over the world, there is this unsaid thing, that when judging a talent show for kids, the whole idea is to build up the children. Even if the child, in our eyes, didn’t have the one-hundred percent talent, we should still smile and give them an encouraging word. We should send them away on a positive note. The whole idea in doing this is that we don’t kill their dreams.

Well, the truth is God is looking down from the heavens and He’s smiling on you today. Even in the bad times or other times when we stray away, God is cheering you on simply because He has great plans for you. He knows the end from the beginning.

In your daily efforts, rather than looking to the left or to the right for someone to give you a pat on the back, know that God is nudging you. He says, “I believe in you.” He says, “I believe you can make it across the finish line.” He says, “you’ve got what it takes, now get ‘em, champ.”

I can remember times when I was younger and my parents attended school functions and extracurricular activities in which I was performing. I will never forget looking out in the stands and seeing that gleaming smile from ear to ear on my dad’s face. I’ll always remember the support of my mom pushing me to be all I can be. Well, that’s how it is with God.

Just like the army, God wants you to be all that you can be. There is nothing in this world that you can’t do. The world may kill your dream. They may put you down and tell you that you can’t do it. They’ll try to convince you that you don’t have what it takes. But the only one that matters, is the approval of God the Creator. My friend, He’s smiling on you.

He says you have the talents, gifts and abilities. You may not have the confidence in your abilities but if you’ll be bold and courageous and take action, God will carry you the rest of the way. When it’s all over, you’ll look out in the stands and see God smiling from ear to ear. God will be cheering you on saying, “well done, my good and faithful servant!”

So as you go through your day, give it all you’ve got. Let their be confidence in knowing that you can never go wrong. Just like a child just starting out, you may not be at one-hundred percent, but God sees the end result. And He’s smiling and cheering you on as you charge forth on your journey of life!
