He’s The Ultimate Promoter!
He’s The Ultimate Promoter!
ByMany times we make the mistake of thinking that man is in charge of our promtion. It’s true that God has appointed man to be in charge of the promotion of your career. But lets not forget that God has the ultimate say so.
Man may be able to promote you by giving you a raise but God can promote you in ways man can’t. Only He can promote you from ordinary to extraordinary. He alone can promote you from poor to rich. He can take you from sick to healthy.
Sure a raise on the job can change things financially. But you must remember, money can’t buy everything.
Money can’t buy peace and joy. Sure it may make you happy temporarily but only Christ can promote you from depression to great joy!
In the scripture right before his resurrection, Jesus said, “my peace I leave you.” He also reminded us, that he came that we might have life and have it in abundance!

That word life doesn’t only refer to the everlasting life that is promised after death. But it also refers to the joy, peace and wholeness that God meant for us while we’re here on earth.
You see when Jesus came, he came to promote us from death to life. So don’t depend on man to promote you. Instead, work everyday like you’re working for the Lord and not for man because in the long run, He’s in charge of your ultimate paycheck.
Make no mistake, I’m not saying you shouldn’t give it your all to your earthly supervisors. No, if anything you should give them your greatest effort. For the scripture says in Colossians 3:23-24, “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.”
One thing to help put it in perspective is to work like you were expecting a million dollar paycheck everyday. I believe we would all work differently if our paycheck were at least a million dollars.
The good thing is no earthly paycheck can compare to God’s paycheck for you!
Now I’m not likening God to any dollar amount. But here’s the thing, if you serve man the same way that you’d serve Christ then I believe God will see your faithfulness and persistence and in turn he’ll promote you to higher heights as you charge forth on your journey of life!
