The last few days I had a series of events that really tested my faith walk. In the interim, I was tempted to get down and discouraged.
It seemed like one thing after another thing presented itself. But through it all I remembered that even though I couldn’t see the purpose of every little difficulty, I knew God was working it out for my good.
Today I was on my way home and I looked over the hill and there was a rainbow. I thought man I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a rainbow.
Then I got to thinking about all the trials I’ve faced over the last few days and how it seemed to be on the up and up. Then I thought, that rainbow is a sign that I’m nearing the end of my storm.
.To me it was significant of the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It was God’s way of showing me that after the storm the rainbow will form.
You have to remember that no matter how terrible your storm, there’s a rainbow waiting to manifest itself. Sometimes you may not always physically see it. But know that God’s not only waiting to show you your rainbow, He wants to give you double for your trouble.
He wants to take it a step further. He’s going to lead you not only to the rainbow but He’s going to show you the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
You see, the Scripture tells us that Jesus came that we may have life and not only life but life more abundantly. He doesn’t just want you to survive and see the rainbow he wants you to thrive and get your pot of gold.
So next time you’re tempted to get down and in despair, gain perspective. Let your faith stay strong. As you go along your journey, remember that God is waiting not only to show you the rainbow but to bless you with the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
