It’s Never Too Late

Posted by: | Comments (2)

One of the worst mind-sets that we can develop is to think that with age our talents and abilities deteriorate. In the natural, that may be true. Yes our bodies naturally lose strength and our bones grow brittle. But I believe that in the supernatural, you are as young and strong as you feel and think.

Too often we fall prey to the mentality that if we haven’t ran that marathon by a certain age then it’s pointless to even attempt.

We let the world’s frame of thinking determine what the mode of our lives should be. In doing that it’s like leaving money on the table, we’re allowing our talents, passions, dreams and future to lye dormant and eventually perish.

Understand that your drive and passion is like a muscle, you have to exercise it in order for it to grow. The unfortunate thing is that with age we allow our own disappointments to discourage us from pursuing our dreams and visions. And as a result our drive and motivation dies down.

But be encouraged today! Know that it’s never too late to start that business that you’ve always wanted to start. It’s not too late to climb a mountain or run cross country. You may be looking at your physical attributes but know that God operates in the supernatural. In His eyes you’re just a young whipper snapper! It’s never too late to fulfill your destiny. Moses was eighty years old before God called Him. Dare you dream to embark on a lifelong journey and start afresh!

The scripture says to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you… another translation says to stir up the gifts that is within you.

He’s The God of Another Chance

Posted by: | Comments (1)

For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. - Proverbs 24:16

No matter how many times you make a mistake or take a wrong turn in life, you should know that you are guaranteed another chance. Now that’s saying a lot because a guarantee means that you’re made certain to receive another chance.

In other words, God doesn’t grant you another chance based on how messed up your past is. In fact the scripture says He’s no respecter of persons. That means that He doesn’t put one person above another.

You should understand that God is not a God of a second chance — He’s not a God of a third, fourth, or even a fifth chance. No my friend, He’s the God of another chance! That means that His grace and mercy is more than sufficient! His love is unconditional!

Don’t be discouraged, no matter how many times you’ve fallen, know that you can get back up and continue on your journey to fulfill your assignment. As long as you strive to live a life pleasing in the sight of God, you are guaranteed another chance!

In some ways, life is like a video game — you won’t go to the next level until you conquer the level you’re on. In order to be promoted to the next level, you have to take this opportunity to get on track. You may not conquer the fight the first time around but unlike the video game, where you’re only granted a certain amount of lives, God has endless opportunities lined up for you!

You see, if He wasn’t the merciful God that He is you wouldn’t be where you are today. You should wake up with a grateful attitude. Your words should be Read More→

People have a keen sense of ability to sum you up within a second of meeting you. They can make a quick determination on what type of person you are, where you’re headed in life, and your sense of self-worth.

I don’t think that you should stress over what others think of you, but I think that it’s worth your while to use these factors to your advantage. In other words, take control over the way others perceive you.

One of the best impressions that you can make is in the way you dress. Oftentimes, we forget the importance of dressing for success. We can get so used to dressing down or getting away with the least impressive outfit.

But I want to encourage you today, don’t be afraid to stand out. Don’t be afraid to make an impression.

I believe that not only is your dress connected to the way others perceive you but it’s greatly connected to your sense of self-worth. Every time you choose to put on that new blouse other than that ten year old torn T-Shirt, you’re communicating to yourself and others that you have a sense of high self-worth. Every time you choose to iron that wrinkled polo or button down dress shirt, you’re communicating that you took the time to care for yourself.

It’s also important to understand that the way you dress goes far beyond the shirt that you put on your back. There is a supernatural wardrobe that is oftentimes Read More→

Don’t Forget To Take Action!

Posted by: | Comments (7)

When it comes to accomplishing your goals, it’s a two part act. Sure you need to have faith and believe that you can achieve greatness. But it’s not enough just to believe. Things start to happen when you start to take action.

In fact, I like to relate it to grade school when we learned about potential and kinetic energy. An object is said to have kinetic energy when it’s in motion. A perfect example of this is a rubber band flying through the air, it has kinetic energy.

Potential energy is the energy an object possess due to it’s position. If you take the rubber band and stretch it, it has potential energy. Once you release it that potential energy then becomes kinetic energy.

Well my friend this is the way I like to look at the game of faith and accomplishing goals. See when you release your faith you’re instilling potential energy into yourself. You’re stretching yourself to new horizons.

Once you take action, you’re taking that stored up energy and putting it to good use. It’s a two way street. I dare you to mix your faith with action today!

Yes It’s good to have faith because it’s the foundation that will empower you along the journey. It’s your faith that’s going to keep you on track when hurdles attempt to cripple you. But no matter what you do, stay in action! Stay the course!

I believe that opportunities will arise once you put one foot in front of the other and take action. You see, you’ve got assignments to fulfill. You’ve got mountains to climb. And as long as you’re sitting dormant, you’re only delaying yourself.

It’s okay to wait until you’re ready. No race starts with out these three Read More→

One of the greatest things that you have going for you is your faith. I believe that your faith is what will determine the things to come in the future.

Luckily, it doesn’t take much faith. God doesn’t base your level of blessings on whether you believe more than the next person. His favor for you isn’t based on how long you’ve been a believer. God moves on the simple fact that you are a believer period. He is honored when we join our faith in agreement.

If you honor God by exercising your faith, He will restore everything that has been lost and give you more. In fact, I heard Joel Osteen say, “He’s going to give you double for your trouble!

Dare you join your faith in agreement today? Dare you believe that greater things are in store for you?

Know that God wants to perform a supernatural miracle. The scripture says that, “He’s perfecting those things which concern you.

Remember that without faith it’s impossible to please God. All you have to do is believe. The scripture says, If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move mountains!

I don’t know about you, but I sit up in my chair when I hear scriptures like this. To know that something so small can contribute to moving something the size of a mountain is amazing to me.

If you’ll just stay in faith, you will witness the blessings that God has in store for you! I dare you to wake up in the morning and make a declaration that something good is in store for you today! You Read More→

What would you do if fear was an actual person, would you continue to run from him or face him directly?

Essentially what we do, when faced with a challenge that seems to overwhelm us, is get fearful and run the other way. But I dare you to stare fear in the face and make a declaration that fear no longer runs your life. In other words, be bold – be courageous! Go new places in which you’ve never been! Do new things that you’ve never done!

Imagine that you are the CEO of a large corporation and you have to let some people go. You might, spontaneously call them into your office one by one and have a talk with them. Or you might make an appointment with a group and let them know as a whole.

Well I challenge you to make an appointment with fear today. Let him know that due to recent changes in your life style, you are no longer welcome here. Let him know that you are down-sizing and that you have to let go of those things that are holding you back. You’re letting go of those things that are hindering you from profiting in life.

While you’re there, call in worry, doubt, and anxiety. Let them all know that changes have been made. Tell them that you are bold and courageous. Show them how confident you are and that they are no longer apart of your life. Let them know that you’re making room for certainty, self-assurance, and contentment.

By doing this you are restoring peace and tranquility in your life! You’re Read More→

Are You Spreading The Good News?

Posted by: | Comments (5)

In this day in time, with the economy in the state that it is, people are getting more and more discouraged. Jobs are being cut left and right, homes being foreclosed on, and debt is at an all time high. People are losing hope across the board.

More and more people are developing anxiety and depression. People need to hear an encouraging word. For a change people want to know what’s the good news?

Are you spreading the good news? Are you speaking an encouraging word into the life of a friend today?

You never know, your next door neighbor may be on the verge of a nervous break down. That person passing you on the street may be one straw from throwing in the towel. I believe that as children of God, we should share a kind word with those around us.

You don’t have to be all deep. You don’t have to know every scripture in the Bible. In fact, I find that the simple words are better — people can relate better when conversing on a down to earth level.

You’ll be surprised, sometimes something as simple as a compliment provides leverage to turn someone’s day around. Pay attention to those around you. Compliment them on something they’re wearing. Tell them, “Your smile is beautiful, you should wear it more often.” Oftentimes these compliments are more effective when they come out of the blue.

If while conversing with someone, you get a vibe of low self-esteem or insecurity, tell them how valuable they are. Affirm to them that they are a victor and not a victim. Let them know that they are equipped to accomplish anything in the world that Read More→

What Excuses Are You Making?

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Along the journey of achieving our dreams and visions, we oftentimes sabotage ourselves by making unnecessary excuses. I believe that somewhere deep down, we make excuses out of fear, self-doubt, and lack of preparation.

I might even be bold enough to say that an excuse easily converts to an obstacle. It’s just something that gets in the way of our destiny.

Now, I won’t be insensitive — I understand that sometimes excuses are out of our control. But what about those times where you are in total control? What about those times when God gives you an open door and you run the other way due to fear?

Maybe your goal this year was to lose weight and get in shape. But you say, “oh, I just don’t have the strength and determination like I used to…” Or maybe your goal is to become debt free, but you say “There’s no way I can cut back, I just can’t stick to my budget.” Well, I dare you to seek out exercises that are within your reach. Discover ways to save money.

You see, in order to rise higher, you’ve got to be determined. Any challenge that you set out to take on, there will always be a period of discomfort. There will always be a trial that seems to discourage you. It may not always be easy, but it’s definitely worth it!

The good news is that God is perfecting those things which concern you! God is in the blessing business! The scripture says that we can go to Him and ask what we want and He will provide. All you have to do is stay in faith!

Instead of making excuses, make declarations! No matter how difficult it gets, Read More→

Doctors say that not all bacteria is bad for you. Sure you have the kind of bacteria that causes inflammation in your body. The kind of bacteria that causes you to get sick – the kind that causes diseases.

But studies show that some bacteria is actually good for you. Some bacteria can actually strengthen your immune system. This bacteria will in turn cause you to fight off sickness and disease.  My friend, I like to liken this sort of mentality to the way we think.

You see, experts say that you should eliminate all “what if” thinking completely. You know those thoughts of worry, fear, doubt, insecurity… “Well, what if I can’t overcome this addiction?” “What if I can’t be made whole?” “What if the doctor’s report comes back negative?” “What if I try out for the team and I don’t make it?

For the most part you do want to avoid this kind of thinking. An overflow of these thoughts can indeed cause you to flow into a downward spiral.

However, we all have those times when we can’t help but think “what if” thoughts. Sometimes they’re not all bad. In fact, I believe some “what if” thoughts can cause you to break out of ruts.

I’m reminded of a time when I was younger and I touched a hot stove. Before I ever touched the hot stove, I always thought – “What happens if I touch the hot stove… how hot can it be?” Well, one day I worked up the nerve to touch the stove and I must say it was the hottest touch I ever experienced. Thankfully, my instincts caused an immediate jerk reaction. It was at that time I learned what does happen when I touch a hot stove and vowed to never do it again.

Well, this is what should happen when we find ourselves thinking “what if” thoughts. We should allow them to instill just enough fear into us that no matter what happens in life, we know that God has our best interests at heart and therefore we should not worry.

You see, it’s the “what if” thoughts that give us character. It’s the “what if” thoughts that spark our curiosity and gives us the experience to know what’s good for us and what’s not good for us.

Well what if I don’t win the race?” Well, what if you don’t win the race? Will you give up? Will you become saturated in defeat or will you press on until you reach victory?
What if I don’t do well on the test?” Well, what if you don’t do well? Will Read More→

Too often we get discouraged at the first sign of defeat. There may be times when it appears that things aren’t happening in your favor. As a result, you may lose confidence in that chapter of your life.

You should realize that what seems to be a curse may really be a blessing in disguise. Next time you’re tempted to get discouraged and throw in the towel, vow to stick it out long enough to see what the true end will be.

Sometimes we just need to roll with the punches. Yes, life has it’s ups and downs. One day life may be giving you every blow to the face imaginable and the next day may be full of blessings. But today I want to encourage you to take whatever disadvantage you face and use it to your own good.

In other words if life gives you lemons, make lemonade! If life throws you blows, put on your best defense. Say to yourself, “I may be in for a bumpy ride but I’m in it to win it!”

Ephesians 6:11 says, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

My friends, you are equipped with everything that you need to withstand the blows of the enemy. Realize that anything that seems to be a curse is not always the end all be all. Know that there is a greater reward waiting for you on the other side.

When you’re faced with difficulties and challenges in life, often times it’s a fight in your mind. The scripture goes on to say in verse 12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Know today that the enemy is going to attack you in your mind. He wants Read More→
