5 Goals Worth Setting

By

I often write about setting and establishing goals. If you’re an avid reader of my blog, by now you know the importance in setting goals.

If you’re wondering what goals are worth setting, then began by asking yourself these questions. What are you passionate about? What do you like to do? By answering these questions you create a sense of direction as to what type of goals you want to fulfill. To help out, I’ve formulated a list of 5 goals that are worth setting.

1. Start a workout regiment – The most common goal or new years resolution for most is losing weight and getting into shape. There is a huge benefit in this goal because not only are you working to achieve the body that you want, but you’re increasing your level of health. Physical exercise adds years onto your life, it’s great for the heart, and combats high blood pressure.

2.Wake up at 5 am
– You may wonder what is so specific about 5 am. This is the time before the break of day. It’s also the time when we’re in our deepest sleep. Studies show that we’re in our deepest state of sleep right before we wake up. This is what makes it so hard to fight off those early morning zzz’s. It may be difficult to wake up out of your deep sleep but the morning hours are often times the most peaceful and the most productive part of the day.

3. Start a business – We all know the benefits in starting a business. You get to set your own hours and instead of making someone else rich, you’re working toward making yourself rich. Running an effective business is one of the greatest challenges you will ever face.

4. Teach a class – This may not be a goal if you’re already in the teaching business, but If you have a wealth of knowledge to share, find a platform to share your knowledge with others. There’s nothing like giving back, and teaching is one of the greatest ways to give back.

5. Conquer your fears - If you’re afraid of heights, make an appointment to take a plane ride. If you’re afraid of snakes, take a trip to the zoo and visit the snake chamber. Speaking of fear, never be afraid to seek counseling. With the right counseling and belief in yourself, you can conquer anything.

It’s possible that you may be thinking easier said that done, and you’re right. It’s easy to set goals, the hard part is accomplishing them. You can right on paper, until your hands turn blue, that you want to become a millionaire. But until you take action and find ways to make millions, then there’s a high probability that you won’t become a millionaire, unless Publisher’s Clearinghouse comes knocking on your door or you win the lottery. Remember, faith without works is dead. Take a step out on faith and work toward accomplishing your goals as you charge forth on your journey of life.

  1. 5 AM now that is a worthy challenge Jarrod – I will give it a shot, maybe work my way there from 7 AM :)

Love that you mentioned teaching a class. What a rewarding thing to do.

    Hi Jeremy,

Yes, that is quite the challenge. That’s the sort of challenge you have to ween yourself onto. Wake up 30 minutes earlier every morning or so. :)

You taught a short class for a day, you’re quite the goal setter, my friend!

  3. Nice motivational blogging making bloggers to gain heights.
