Hi Jarrod, this is an ample list. I would like to add one more phrase to it. The phrase, "I have no idea" is one that many of us use far too often. Our mind is a vast storehouse of information and concepts. Therefore, we know a little concerning nearly everything.

Excellent Jarrod! My dad used to repeat the "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" phrase all the time. It's Empowering.

I read an author who said that the subconscious mind can't take a joke. Reminds me to remind myself who I am throughout the course of the day. Negative self-talk brings negative results unless you manually override it.

"I Can't" and "I'm not good enough" seems to be the two phrases I hear people say often. I do agree it should be eliminated from our vocabulary because it does nothing but lower your self esteem and places you in a position where you're giving up on life.

Great Post!

Hi Alex,

I'm still trying to remove #3 from my vocabulary too. Even from time to time I still speak negatively but I realize that ultimately, negative thoughts are like poison. So therefore, Yes we are more than enough. The bible declares so. Thanks for contributing!!

Welcome Therese,

Yes you are right! We must speak to ourselves with gentleness and compassion. We have to take extreme care and caution in how we talk to ourselves.

Thanks for contributing!!

Jarrod,
You are right, we shouldn't use any negative expression at all.
All the best,
Boris

# 3 (I'm not good enough) is one I'm learning to remove from my vocabulary. It is so toxic and untrue because God made me in his image. Therefore, I'm more than enough.
