@Ayo - I love Life Optimizer Donald is a prolific writer...and his guest writers. I totally agree. Imagine if we went about everything in life with lack of preparation, a defeated mind-set, and no back up plans... woah that would not be good.

@Jeremy - Thanks man! Sometimes we make our greatest strides after we fall down! I commend you for your great work my friend.

Love it, what a great analogy. Adversity always seems to find a way to ramp up when one decides to make great change in life. For me it was kidney stone surgery and back surgery in the last six months. And guess what? Laying flat on my back, I grabbed my laptop and said, "It's time to go to work!"

Great article Jarrod.

hi jarrod,
how are you?
i found your blog off the lifeoptimizer blog.
i love the analogy used in this post.
i'm definitely not a one hit wonder lol!! i believe one hit wonders didnt have back up plans, were caught up in the moment, didnt find time to sharpen their skills or move along with the trends, became to comfortable or probably became fearful of success again........
enjoy the rest of the day

@Alex - Yes, this resonates with me too! I always say that you only fail when you stop trying. One hit wonder is a nice way of putting it, but we all have the choice to become a "hit wonder" (if you will).

I love this concept. For me, what keeps me from being a "one hit wonder" is my faith to keep moving towards a goal and never to give up!
