What are your influences in life? What’s your inspiration for life? Are you following behind the wrong crowd? Many times following behind the wrong people can lead to destruction in life.

You have the choice to either be a leader or a follower. You’re either in the driver’s seat or you’re in the passenger’s seat. Which will it be?

Remember when you were younger and you weren’t old enough to drive? Well, your parents would take you from place to place. Many times they often went left when you wanted to go right, they went to the clothes store when you wanted to go to the toy store. That’s because they knew what was best for you.

The bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:11, “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.”

My friend, it’s time to rise up and take control. Accept responsibility for your life. You are in the driver’s seat. God is ultimately in control but I believe that He allows us enough control to make our own decisions.

What am I saying? Make wise decisions and choices. Everything in life that seems like a good thing isn’t necessarily good for us, therefore we have to make decisions that will benefit us in the long run, not just temporarily.

I encourage you to take control over your life and over your circumstances but understand that the decisions you make today will have an impact on your life in the future. Set a positive example for others to follow today as you go through your life journey.
