Hi, welcome back! I hope you enjoy this post. Don't forget to comment, thanks!

A wise man once said, “There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.”

Do you make excuses for not being able to do great things in life? Sometimes we want the end results but we don’t necessarily want to do the hard work that it takes to get there.

Discipline is a powerful trait to have because it keeps us on top of our toes in terms of growth and overcoming challenges. Discipline provides a rebuttal for every excuse that we make and gives us the motivation to work hard regardless of those excuses.

I looked up the definition of discipline on the web and it is defined as: “a : control gained by enforcing obedience or order b : orderly or prescribed conduct or pattern of behavior c : self-control.” (Merriam-webster.com)

Let’s say you want to start a work out routine. Many times we make excuses for ourselves on why we shouldn’t work out or why we should quit after not seeing results. Those excuses are a direct result of our negative self talk.

It takes self-discipline to not only start a work out routine but to be committed to it. It’s almost like we have to take a personal oath when we set a new goal in our life. Whether it be working out, starting a business, learning an instrument or even learning a sport. Read More→

Change Is Not A Bad Thing

(Ephesians 4:21) If indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:
(22) that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, (23) and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, (24) and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Accepting change can be a difficult thing when it puts us out of our comfort zone. Sometimes we become so stagnant in where we are that it’s hard to accept when God is moving in our lives.

Sometimes what seems like a curse is really a blessing in disguise. When it seems like the enemy is gaining ground, sometimes, is Gods way of preparing the way for a blessing in our lives.

Henceforth we become closed minded to change and we get discouraged and assume the enemy is plotting an attack.

Comfort Zone... Friends I encourage you to have an open mind when God is moving in your lives. In order for God to take us to the next level sometime He has to break down some of the damage that has been done in order to make way for improvement. Read More→

Most of the struggles we face in life can be eliminated by changing our thoughts. When something gets the best of you it’s because you allow it to take control over your life.

Our thoughts are directly tied to our emotions so when we’re upset, sad, tired or discouraged, we don’t think as clearly as we do when our emotions are in a neutral state.

If you get discouraged about something, it’s often harder than normal to come to your senses because the weight of the discouragement is over powering your ability to rationalize.

Therefore, often times our worst mistakes are made when we’re weighing our decisions based on our emotions and not our logic. It’s very easy to give up on our dreams because we get discouraged due to lack of progress and growth.

Many times the discouragement stems from us getting impatient and not putting our faith in God.
You may find yourself looking at the progress of your goals and you might find that you’re not where you want to be. Don’t let that discourage you. Don’t operate based on that emotion of discouragement.

Continue to put your faith in God. The night is always the darkest before dawn. When you’re in your darkest state and it seems like you’ve lost all hope and despair, remember to yet hold on to the promise of God. Read More→
