Have An Ear To Hear

Hi, welcome back! I hope you enjoy this post. Don't forget to comment, thanks!

My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, (James 1:19)

How often do you find yourself in a conversation when you discover that you’re doing most of the talking? In essence, a true conversation is when both entities equally share the same amount of ideas and concepts but it doesn’t always end up being that way.

Many times misunderstandings stem from not knowing the other person’s point of view or where they are truly coming from.

Misunderstandings can lead to a loss of friendship, hurt feelings, or they can even lead to someone doing something that they will later regret.

As the scripture says, “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” This is the spirit in which God wants us to operate in.

Inspirational Messages Many times we miss this mark because we want everyone to see our point of view and we forget that there’s always more than one side to a story. Operating in love is about reaching out to someone else. Selfish-love is an oxymoron because there is no love where we put yourself first.

One thing to know is that people love to talk about themselves and they love people who take out the time to want to know more about them.

Be an example of someone who reaches out and has an ear to hear what someone else is all about. In this day in time people need to know that someone out there cares.

Hearing goes beyond just what a person is saying, it goes as far as being able to understand what a person is communicating through their actions. Many times people won’t say what they want to say through there mouths but their actions will tell you everything you need to know.

When a person is hurting they may not always know how to ask for help verbally but their actions are screaming for help, love and attention.

Friend, be the ear that your friends and loved ones need in their lives today. Don’t just hear what they are saying, listen to what they are saying and reach out to them accordingly.
