(Ephesians 4:21) If indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: (22) that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, (23) and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, (24) and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
Accepting change can be a difficult thing when it puts us out of our comfort zone. Sometimes we become so stagnant in where we are that it’s hard to accept when God is moving in our lives.
Sometimes what seems like a curse is really a blessing in disguise. When it seems like the enemy is gaining ground, sometimes, is Gods way of preparing the way for a blessing in our lives.
Henceforth we become closed minded to change and we get discouraged and assume the enemy is plotting an attack.
Friends I encourage you to have an open mind when God is moving in your lives. In order for God to take us to the next level sometime He has to break down some of the damage that has been done in order to make way for improvement.
When contractors renovate a house, often times they have to tear down the walls and rebuild the foundation in order to improve the house. Over time, if the house doesn’t get the up-keep that it should get, it’s not enough to just build on top of or rearrange the walls, they have to be broken down and reconstructed.
What am I saying?
Sometimes what seems like one step backwards is really two steps forward when God is moving in our lives. Know that God has your best interest at heart. He sees the big picture. He’s the Alpha and the Omega, He was there in the beginning and He knows the end.
Trust the Lord when it seems like the road is getting dark and it’s coming to a dead end. When it seems like everything is falling apart, know that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. You will come out better and stronger than you were before. Allow God to tear down those walls of cancer and defeat so that He can make a way of provision and growth in your life today.
