Showing Gratitude During The Holidays

By Jarrod Clark
Hi, welcome back! I hope you enjoy this post. Don't forget to comment, thanks!

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV)

As the thanksgiving holiday approaches, remember to be thankful for the simple things in life. Just as easy as everything was given to you it can be taken away. Take time out to show love and appreciation to someone in need today.

Sometimes it’s easy to get in a state of looking at the glass as half empty and complaining about what we don’t have. Remember, it could always be worse. Friends, remember God has our best interest at heart.

Know that the favor of God is upon you. As gracious as God is to us, He doesn’t ask for much in return except that we worship and show our gratitude to Him for what He has done for us.

Gratitude In fact, the bible commands that we give thanks unto the God.  Psalms 50:14 says Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High.

God is a jealous God, so remember to take time out and show your gratitude to Him. The bible says that it is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord.

One of the best ways to show gratitude is to change your actions and instead of focusing on yourself, try focusing on someone else. Go out of your way to show acts of kindness to someone else.

The bible says, just as you do unto the least of these, you do unto me. The scripture is referring to Christ. When we take time out and extend a helping hand to someone in need, it is just as if we are doing the same for Christ.

When you overlook someone who is in need, you are doing the same to Christ. Simply issuing a kind smile to someone can be enough to change their day.

Call a friend or a family member today and let them know how much you are appreciative for them. As the holiday time of year approaches, it’s very easy to get stressed out with all of the hustle and bustle of the last minute shopping and meeting deadlines but I encourage you to focus on the simple things that you’re thankful for and it will make a difference.
