Blame Game or Blameless Game? That Is The Question
Blame Game or Blameless Game? That Is The Question
ByA wise man once said, “When looking for faults, use a mirror not a telescope.” This is a rule that we all can live by because when things go down, it’s so easy to point the finger to someone else.
Remember, when you point a finger at someone else, you have three fingers pointing back at you.
Do you find yourself pointing the blame when mistakes happen in your life? Mistakes are meant to be a tool for learning a lesson. If you never make mistakes, you will never learn. I believe, as long as you’re pointing the finger, you’re never fixing the problem you are masking the problem.
When you make mistakes, don’t get down in the dumps and beat yourself up about it, rather view a mistake as an opportunity to learn and grow. Realize that next time you encounter the same situation you can use the learned lesson to empower you through the situation.
I use to be the worst at pointing the blame and making excuses for my mistakes. I can even think of a few mistakes I made today. It wasn’t until I realized that it’s okay to make mistakes but as long as I learn from them, that’s what matters.
As long as you are looking outside of yourself to find faults, you will never grow. God allows us to go through trials and make mistakes so that we will grow.
Unfortunately, there are some adults who have the mentality of a teenager and I believe that one reason for this is due to lack of looking inside of themselves and improving on themselves rather than pointing the finger.
Don’t fall into this category. Pray that God gives you the wisdom and shows you where you’re wrong and allow Him to guide your footsteps as you go along your journey.
