Find The Good In Others
Find The Good In Others
ByMatt. 7:1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged.”
Do you catch yourself looking at the faults of others? The bible says that it’s not our place to judge others. Everyone’s rightful judgment will come on judgment day.
You shouldn’t criticize others when you feel they are representing themselves in a way that you don’t agree with.
Remember, as sons and daughters of God we were born into sin, therefore we all make mistakes and do things that God doesn’t agree with. And He continues to love us and forgive us of our sins.
Therefore, we should continue to show love for everyone that we encounter in our life.
Instead of looking at the faults of others, look at their assets. Find their true potential and build them up based on that. Let them know what you like about them instead of what you don’t like.
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not perfect. However recently, I’m at a place where I can’t help but enjoy being in the presence of all types of people.
I enjoy people because I’m looking at the things that I like about people.
Lets say someone has a radiant smile, but they’re an alcoholic. Don’t look down on them because they’re an alcoholic, rather compliment them on their smile and look for other things about them that you like.
You will find that you have just as much in common with those who have faults as you do with those that appear to have it all together.
Remember, when you find people with faults, at least you know what you’re getting up front. People who appear to have it all together are only better at hiding their faults. (…but that’s another blog)
Remember no one is perfect. As I mentioned above, we are all born into sin. Look for the good in people and bless them by letting them know what you actually like about them, rather than what you don’t like.
